WITH TWO SALONS THAT ARE REGULARLY FEATURED ON TOP “BEST OF” LISTS, EMILY LAHH TURNED MIAMI’S HAIR SCENE INTO HER SIGNATURE SUCCESS STORY—ONE IMPOSSIBLY POLISHED HIGHLIGHT AT A TIME.

In the business of beauty, there’s trust—and then there’s the sacred bond between a woman and her colorist. When it comes to hair, one misstep can linger for months. That’s why Emily Lahh, the founder and creative force behind LAHH Salon and LAHH Blow Dry Bar, has cultivated not only a clientele, but a cult following. Her approach? Luxury without pretense. Precision without fuss.

“I’ve never believed in assembly-line beauty,” says Lahh.“Great hair is about personalization. It should suit someone’s lifestyle as much as their bone structure.”

Her commitment to that philosophy has shaped two soughtafter destinations for hair in Miami: the newly opened, fullservice LAHH Salon in Bay Harbor and the reimagined LAHH Blow Dry Bar in Surfside. Each reflects Emily’s dual talents—she’s as much a strategist as she is a stylist, blending deep
industry knowledge with sharp instincts and a New Yorkhoned edge.

A graduate of the prestigious Aveda Institute and a former stylist at the elite salons of John Barrett and Oscar Blandi, Lahh launched her career in the fashion world, working backstage at runway shows and editorial shoots. But it wasn’t the clothes that captivated her—it was the way hair could transform someone entirely.

“I remember watching models light up after a change in cut or color,” she says. “That shift in energy, in confidence—it’s addictive.”

Her move to Miami came unexpectedly through a corporate role at Luxury Brand Partners, where she trained salons across the country on the Oribe product line. It was there she learned to think like a business owner, gaining hands-on experience in branding, education, and client retention. At just 25, Lahh purchased a small blow-dry bar space in Miami. “Honestly, I joked about buying it—and the next day I was in a meeting being asked what I’d offer,” she says. “I had no real plan, just a vision for something elevated.”

She rebranded it LAHH Salon, rebuilt the team, and retrained every stylist. Her model: no assembly lines, no assistants subbing in, just a tight-knit team of color experts delivering consistent, high-quality service.

“Clients book with a stylist because they trust their talent,” Lahh says. “That trust shouldn’t be diluted.”

The gamble paid off. Known for its expertise in balayage, color correction, and extensions, LAHH quickly grew a loyal base. Stylists are handpicked not only for their technical skills but their obsession with continuous learning. “We’re not just doing hair,” Lahh adds. “We’re studying it—daily.” In early 2025, she expanded her brand in two directions. The original Surfside salon evolved into LAHH Blow Dry Bar, a luxe, membership-based styling spot offering toptier products at an accessible price point. Simultaneously, the Bay Harbor salon opened its doors, built for full transformations and major hair moments.

“I didn’t want to choose between quick refreshes and fullservice luxury,” Lahh says. “Now clients can have both, depending on the day.”

At the heart of her aesthetic is a deceptively effortless finish. The “lived-in” look—a rich brunette, a sun-kissed blonde—demands technique, restraint, and a razor-sharp eye.“Great hair should look expensive, not fussy,” she says. “The goal is to enhance, never overwhelm.”

With her business thriving, Lahh is cautious about what comes next. Growth isn’t the priority—excellence is. “I’m not looking to be everywhere,” she says. “I want each space to feel curated, intimate, and unforgettable.” As for creating her own product line? “One day,” she muses. “But right now, I’m focused on what’s in front of me—making sure every client leaves with the best hair of their life.”
