THIS WINE ORGANIZATION INVITES GUESTS TO DISCOVER FRESH, SURPRISING POURS FROM BORDEAUX AND GERMANY AT 30+ RESTAURANTS AND BARS ACROSS MIAMI.

This October, travel through your wine glass to Bordeaux and Germany with Clink Different, an organization dedicated to sharing delicious wines from both regions. Throughout the month, more than 30 of Miami’s top restaurants invite you to discover wines from these two incredible regions with by-the-glass selections showcasing their diversity and parallels.

“Bar Bucce is excited to be participating in Clink Different,” says Jacqueline Pirolo, managing partner of Bar Bucce. “I think Bordeaux and Germany are exciting wine regions because of their history. However, they also have a strong reputation and often get typecast. That’s what I love about Clink Different—it allows me to choose wines that break the stereotype and surprise even the most expert wine drinkers.”

Both regions weave together centuries of heritage, lush landscapes, culinary passion, and a renewed modernity in winemaking. Bordeaux extends beyond its legendary reds—winemakers also craft amazing sparkling wines and refreshing whites. Germany, once known in America for sweet Rieslings, is now producing fresh reds and many other white varietals in dry and off-dry styles.

With rigorous quality standards at the heart of winemaking, every bottle from Bordeaux and Germany reflects craftsmanship, character, and consistency.

Swirl your glass and journey to southwest France, where Bordeaux unfolds along the storied Garonne River.
Bordeaux is France’s largest wine region, encompassing about 103,000 hectares of vineyards and 53 appellations.

While its reds are world-renowned, Bordeaux offers winemaking styles for every palate. Crisp, lively whites from appellations such as Entre-Deux-Mers, Graves, and Pessac-Léognan bring fruit, floral notes, and freshness to the table.

For something more decadent, Sauternes and Barsac deliver indulgent dessert wines — and when it’s time to celebrate, a sparkling Crémant is the perfect companion for raising a glass.

“It’s a fantastic chance to get out, explore, and discover new favorite spots to eat and drink,” notes Sarah Phillips McCartan, wine specialist and founder of Wine Talks Miami.
“Bordeaux produces beautifully textured Sauvignon Blancs and outstanding sparkling wines. Throughout October, every restaurant and bar in the Clink Different program will be pouring these wines for guests to enjoy.”

Travel 577 miles northeast and you’ll land in Germany, home to 13 official wine regions and about 103,000 hectares of vineyards. The country cultivates hundreds of grape varieties, but the most recognized and widely planted are Riesling, Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), Pinot Gris (Grauburgunder), Pinot Blanc (Weissburgunder), Müller-Thurgau, and Silvaner.

Spätburgunder offers a refined and elegant choice for red wine lovers, pairing beautifully with savory meat dishes. For white wine enthusiasts, Grauburgunder, Weissburgunder, Müller-Thurgau, and Silvaner evoke the sensation of crisp coastal breezes—ideal companions for seafood or lighter fare. Riesling remains the most iconic and food-friendly grape because of its versatility: you can find it in all styles, from bone-dry to lusciously sweet, even effervescently sparkling.

“Clink Different is like if David and Goliath teamed up to co-promote,” adds Amanda Fraga, director of beverage and social media at The Genuine Hospitality Group.
“You have the structure of Bordeaux wines paired with the raciness of wines from Germany. They complement each other because they’re nothing alike—and that’s what makes this promo so fun!”

You can Clink Different and explore the wines of Bordeaux and Germany at some of Miami’s favorite restaurants and bars, including: Ariete, Bar Bucce, Bunbury, Cleo Miami, The Drexel, Emissary, Fluke by Macchialina, Happy Wine in the Grove, Hiyakawa Miami, Klaw, Krus, Lafayette, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Le Jardinier Miami, Maple and Ash, Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, Recoveco, Sipping Station, Vinoteca Miami, Vinya Wine & Market, Walrus Rodeo, and Water Lion.
